“The wind chimes of childhood reverberate and clash within the chaos of adulthood.”

Wind Chime: Cyanotype print, heat-shrink film, cotton cord, oil painting round frame, fishing line

Collage on canvas: Oil pastels, everyday waste materials

Wind Chime: 85 × 45 × 45 cm

Fabric Collage: 96 × 60 cm

This work attempts to evoke the innocence beneath the childishness of youth through the therapeutic resonance of wind chimes, while the multi-media collage composed of life's discarded fragments seeks to depict the chaos and complexity of adulthood's abrupt arrival. By juxtaposing these elements, the author endeavours to portray the intricate, painful impact of societal expectations of maturity and the natural passage of age upon their eighteenth year.
